The 12th President of Remo Secondary School Old Students Association (RSSOSA) cum Adron Homes and Properties Boss- Sir Aare EmmanuelKing has built a magnificent stadium for Remo Secondary School in commemoration of its 80th anniversary and the first co-educational school in West Africa.
The stadium which was declared open by The Executive Governor of Ogun State-Prince Dapo Abiodun was held on the 7th of February, 2026 and was organised by the old students association of the school-RSSOSA.
While declaring the school stadium open for students to use, he commended the efforts put in by the 12th president of RSSOSA-Aare EmmanuelKing.
According to him, “the stadium will encourage sportsmanship among the students”.
In his welcome address, Aare EmmanuelKing appealed for support to help make the school greater and better, in order to position RSS as a trailblazer in African education history especially, as the school is known for excellence, discipline, discipline, innovation and character.
While celebrating a legacy of eight decades of excellence and inclusion, Aare EmmanuelKing appealed to the state government to make it mandatory for all Junior Secondary students and Senior Secondary Students to reside in the school dormitory, in order to make perfect their critical academic transition.
He also reiterated the need for the integration of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to give the school the Nigerian outlook.
In an exclusive chat with Khal-El Media, Aare EmmanuelKing was particularly elated to be at the helm of affairs of RSSOSA, where the school turning point is crystallizing.
According to him, “the 80th anniversary of RSS is the beginning of greater things to come.
This is more so, as he has promised to use his wherewithal to make the school the cynosure of all eyes.
Also, The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land , His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, CFR while speaking with Khal-El Media expressed satisfaction with the Organizers of the event.
In his words: “I am delighted to be part of this epoch making event, simply because I am a product of the school and I urge the few old students who are part of RSSOSA, to not relent in their efforts to taking the school to greater heights”, he said.
Similarly, The Paramount Traditional Ruler of Ota- Olota of Ota, Oba Professor Adeyemi AbdulKabir Obalanlege ( Lanlege Ekun II), while speaking with Khal-El Media expressed satisfaction that something like this could be accomplished within a short period of time.
He said, “I congratulate The RSSOSA President for his commitment to the development of the school “.
Also, The Queen of Alaafin of Oyo- His Royal Majesty, Oba Abimbola Owoade, Ayaba Laafin in an exclusive interview with Khal-El Media Team, was over joyed to be part of the ceremony.
She said, “the alumni of RSS need to be commended for this rare feat they have achieved, they should continue to work in unison to make the school the cynosure of all eyes”.
In the same vein, The lawmaker representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency at The House of Representatives-Honourable Princess (Dr) Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji while fielding questions from the media was full of joy that the pioneer co-educational institution in West Africa is going places.
According to her, “I look forward to seeing the students winning sports laurels at the global level, because the feat achieved by Aare EmmanuelKing is a testament to what it means to give back to the society”, she added.

Dr. Amad Abdullahi Hassan-Yaikanajeu Uke, H.R.M Dr. Alhaji Haruna Tanko-Gomo of Kuje, FCT, H.R.M Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji-Aguma of Gwagwalada FCT, The Regent Awujale Ijebu-Ode who is also the Olori-Ogun of Ijebu-Ode, the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland and Co-chairman of Eko Hospital-Chief Dr. Sonny Folorunsho Kuku,, the deputy governor of Ogun State-Mrs Omotola Awoyemi, The First Lady of Ogun State- Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, The Principal of the Senior Secondary School-Mrs Oluwatoyinlogo Ashaye and different sets of the old school association among others.
The high point of the event was the cutting of the ribbon by the Executive Governor- Prince Dapo Abiodun to declare the stadium open and the donation of buses to the senior and junior schools by Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing and RSSOSA.
It is important to note that Remo Secondary School which was established on the 4th of February, 1946 has produced many eminent personalities in Nigeria one of them is Sir Aare Adetola EmmanuelKing.
