In a statement released to the media, The Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Honourable Sola Giwa, paid glowing tribute to the unflagging patience, exemplary cooperation, and civic solidarity displayed by Lagosians during the meticulous execution of this strategically indispensable project.

“Your steadfast support has been the linchpin of this accomplishment,” Hon. Giwa affirmed, emphasising the laudable collective responsibility exhibited by residents and commuters across the metropolis.

He further conveyed profound appreciation to the gallant Officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) for their relentless vigilance and unremitting commitment in sustaining traffic order and ensuring unhindered mobility throughout the rehabilitation period.

With the project now advancing seamlessly into its second operational phase, Hon. Giwa enjoined all road users to conscientiously comply with the designated alternative routes articulated by the government, underscoring the imperative of sustained patience, prudent travel planning, and unwavering communal cohesion.

“Let us remain steadfast in patience, exercise foresight in our journeys, and uphold our unity as we collectively progress toward the completion of this critical Ogudu/Ifako Bridge a transformative infrastructure poised to significantly enhance urban mobility and stimulate socio-economic vibrancy in Lagos,” the statement added .

The Lagos State Government reiterates its unyielding commitment to delivering infrastructure of enduring quality — infrastructure that fortifies public safety, streamlines transportation, and reinforces the economic backbone of the State,” the statement read.
