The election took place at the Party’s State Congress held on Tuesday 3rd of March; at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Lagos.

Ojelabi and other state executives emerged through a consensus arrangement, with delegates from the 376 wards across the state affirming the consensus list presented by the Chairman of the State Congress Committee, Stella Okotete, through a voice vote.

The smooth conduct of the congress underscored the party’s internal cohesion and commitment to orderly succession.

The full list of executives elected at the congress includes:

| Chairman | Cornelius Ojelabi |

| Deputy Chairman | Moshood Olanrewaju |

| Secretary | Adeola Jokomba |

| Assistant Secretary | Azizat Mariam |

| Publicity Secretary | Seye Oladejo |

| Vice Chairman | Babajide Sunday |

| Woman Leader | Shola Eletu |

| Organising Secretary | Ayodele Adewale |

Speaking at the event, Ojelabi urged party faithful to close ranks and work collectively for the continued growth of the APC in Lagos State.

“This is the time for us to work together, engage more deeply and ensure that the APC continues to lead in delivering good governance and sustainable development for our people”, he said.

“The future of Lagos State and Nigeria depends on our dedication and ability to work together. Let us strengthen our bonds, reach out to every community and ensure that no voice is left unheard”, he added.

The re-elected chairman emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement and inclusive politics as the party prepares for future electoral contests.

The newly elected Vice Chairman for Lagos East Senatorial District, Yeye Olayinka Olusanya, described the district as organised and committed to the party’s progress. She pledged to work with other leaders to advance the party’s agenda.

“The Lagos East Senatorial District has always been structured and focused on the progress of our party. We will continue to follow the tenets of the APC and move the party forward,” Olusanya stated.

Expressing optimism about the party’s prospects in 2027, she added that members look forward to what she described as the continued leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The congress witnessed an impressive turnout of party stalwarts and government officials, including:

– Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu – Executive Governor of Lagos State

– Obafemi Hamzat – Deputy Governor of Lagos State

– Mudasiru Obasa – Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly

– Tajudeen Olusi – Leader, Governor’s Advisory Council

– Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin – Secretary to the State Government

– Akinwunmi Ambode – Former Governor of Lagos State

– Olajide Adediran – Governorship Aspirant

– Ganiyu Solomon – Former Senator

– Numerous other party stakeholders and leaders

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu congratulated the newly elected executives and expressed confidence in their leadership capacity.

“God will give you the enablement to take this party to an enviable level. I want to thank you and congratulate you,” the governor said.

His presence and remarks underscored the strong working relationship between the party’s executive committee and the state government, a partnership that has delivered consistent development to Lagos residents.

The successful conduct of the state congress positions the Lagos APC for the electoral battles ahead, particularly the 2027 general elections. With a unified executive committee, experienced leadership, and strong grassroots structures, the party aims to consolidate its dominance in Lagos State while contributing to national electoral success.

The congress concluded with a renewed pledge by party leaders and members to strengthen internal cohesion and position the APC for future electoral successes in Lagos State and beyond. As Nigeria’s political landscape evolves, the Lagos APC appears determined to remain a formidable force in the nation’s most populous city and economic capital.
