The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (popularly known as Yayi), has restated his commitment to running an inclusive, people-centred and development-focused administration as political consultations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He reiterated this position during a series of strategic engagements held over the weekend at his Ilaro office in Yewa South Local Government Area.
Senator Adeola expressed appreciation for the widening base of support he continues to receive from stakeholders across party lines.
He assured political actors, support groups, and residents that his governorship ambition is anchored on participation, consultation, and shared responsibility in governance.
“I want to reassure all my supporters, both old and new, that I will run an inclusive, people-oriented and development-focused government where no stakeholder will be left behind.
My political philosophy is built around consultation, participation, and collective decision-making for the socio-economic advancement of our state”, he added.
The engagements drew a wide range of political blocs and interest groups, including the Ogun East Assembly (YAYI APEX), Yayi Teachers, Odogbolu political stakeholders, former PDP members from Ogun West, the Ògù General Assembly (Origin Group), and the Triple A (Team Akinlade) group.
Senator Adeola highlighted ongoing and completed constituency interventions across Ogun West, Central, and East senatorial districts, including road construction, school projects, healthcare facilities, street lighting, erosion control, and market development initiatives.
He maintained that his aspiration for Ogun West to produce the next governor can only be achieved through unity, discipline, and sustained grassroots mobilisation across the state.
According to him, his administration would build on existing developmental efforts while strengthening continuity in governance to ensure equitable distribution of resources for all residents.
He further pledged to deepen reconciliation efforts, noting plans to engage aggrieved political stakeholders to strengthen inclusiveness ahead of the campaign season.
“I will convene additional reconciliation meetings with stakeholders and aggrieved actors to ensure full integration and participation in our campaign structure,” he added.
In their separate remarks, Alhaja Salmot Badru and Hon. Adekunle Akinlade expressed support for Senator Adeola’s aspiration, describing it as a unifying opportunity for Ogun West and a step toward political equity in the state.
They also emphasized the need for unity, grassroots mobilisation, and strategic coordination among supporters to advance the collective goal of inclusive governance and sustainable development in Ogun State.
