This is n recognition of his exceptional service, professionalism, and commitment to effective policing and public communication.

The promotion came after the recommendations made by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

In a statement by the force headquarters, this reflects the Force leadership’s confidence in Hundeyin’s capacity, integrity, and outstanding performance in strategic communication and public engagement.

Recall that ACP Hundeyin was appointed Force Public Relations Officer in 2025 as a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), taking over from DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

Since his assumption of office, he has distinguished himself as the image maker of The Nigeria Police Force, driving strategic initiatives aimed at rebuilding public trust and enhancing accountability, which helps to modernize the police communication, through the effective use of digital and technological platforms.

Hundeyin is a seasoned police administrator and communicator, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from Lagos State University (LASU) and a Master’s degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan.

His career trajectory includes a long stint in police public relations and administration, where he served under former Force Public Relations Officer and Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Frank Mba.

He also served at Zone 2 Command before his posting to the Force Headquarters in Abuja. He was later redeployed to Lagos after a brief period at the headquarters, where he served as the Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command.

Hundeyin was subsequently appointed as The Force Public Relations Officer by the Inspector-General of Police in 2025, owing to his proactiveness, professionalism, and consistency in excellent service delivery.

Described by colleagues as a disciplined and distinguished officer, ACP Hundeyin is widely respected for his leadership abilities, administrative competence, and dedication to service delivery.

His elevation to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police is widely seen as a testament to hard work, consistency, and the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to career progression and merit-based advancement.
