The induction ceremony, attended by senior executives and invited stakeholders, marked the culmination of a highly competitive selection process that saw over 10,000 applicants vie for limited slots. The 58 successful candidates represent the top 0.58 percent, reflecting the bank’s stringent recruitment standards and focus on nurturing high-potential professionals.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kayode Lawal, charged the new hires to embrace continuous learning and adaptability as essential tools for career success in an increasingly technology-driven banking environment.

He emphasized that the rapid evolution from a pre-digital era to an artificial intelligence-powered landscape has significantly transformed the nature of work, making it imperative for professionals to consistently upgrade their skills to remain relevant.

Lawal also highlighted the critical importance of integrity in banking, describing it as the foundation upon which trust and long-term success are built. He cautioned that reputational capital remains the most valuable asset in the industry, urging the graduates to uphold the highest ethical standards in their professional conduct.

Beyond professional competence, the Polaris Bank CEO encouraged the cohort to cultivate disciplined financial habits, humility, and gratitude, noting that true success encompasses both career achievements and strong personal values.

He further urged them to approach their roles with a sense of purpose and responsibility, adding that their contributions would play a significant role in advancing the bank’s strategic objectives and strengthening Nigeria’s financial ecosystem.

The PGIT and PTIP programmes are designed to provide intensive, hands-on training across core banking operations and technology functions. Over the years, the initiatives have produced a pipeline of high-performing professionals who contribute to the bank’s growth and innovation agenda.

The newly inducted employees are expected to be deployed across key business areas, supporting Polaris Bank’s priorities in retail banking expansion, digital transformation, and enhanced customer experience.

Polaris Bank reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young Nigerians by creating opportunities for career growth, while fostering a culture anchored on excellence, innovation, and sustainable development in the financial services industry
