The Lekki-Ajah Axis of Lagos State bubbled up with activities recently courtesy of the 86th birthday celebration of The Founder and Owner of Eleganza Group of Companies, who also doubles as The Aare of Lagos- Chief Rasak Akanni Okoya.

Instead of showing what luxury living means, The owner of RAO Property Investment Company organized a medical outreach for members of his community to commemorate his 86th years of impactful existence on earth.

Little wonder, his primary residence at the’Oluwa ni Shola’magnificent and outlandish estate along Lekki/Ajah Expressway became a Mecca of sort, as people from communities far and wide came to benefit from the medical outreach.

According to the business mogul and one of Africa’s best known industrialists, he chose to celebrate his 86th birthday memorably, by giving back to the community.

In his words, “health is wealth and I am grateful to God for giving me a good health and there is no other better way to show gratitude to Him, than by giving people who have no means of getting adequate health care the opportunity; to know their health status” he said.

Consequently, over six hundred thousand people benefited from the outreach which included: HIV/AIDS Screening, Dental Care, Eye Screening, Blood and Urine Tests, Cervical and prostrate screening, Tuberculosis Test and Family Planning among others.

More importantly is the fact that, the beneficiaries who came from various communities such as Iru, Eleko, Elegushi, Jakande, Ajah, Lekki, Epe and other areas in the axis were also given some drugs, food and money to take home.

 

While those whose treatments had been referred to other hospitals were given the assurance that bills of their procedures would be paid by the celebrator -Chief (Dr) Rasak Akanni Okoya CON.

 

The Managing Director of Eleganza Group of Companies and Wife of the birthday boy —Chief (Dr) Mrs Nimota Folashade Okoya was grateful to God for granting her husband a good health.

 

She revealed that it was based on that premise that Okoya @ 86 medical outreach was organised.

In the same vein, The Billionaire’s Daughter-Abiola Okoya while praising her father for organizing such a fundamental and phenomenal project prayed for God’s Mercy and Protection over his life, in good health and more wealth.

 

Also, Wife of Oba Tijani Adetunji, The Ojomu of Ajiranland-Olori Bunmi Akinloye while speaking with Khal-El Media spoke of how elated she was for being part of Daddy’s celebration.

According to her, she benefited from the free dental care, where she had to remove one of her teeth and the cost of such service outside the outreach could be very expensive.

 

While wishing Chief Okoya many more years in the land of the living, she advised other billionaires to replicate such a kind gesture in their localities.

 

Also, a renowned journalist and publisher of Ovation International Magazine-Chief (Dr) Dele Abayomi Ojutelegan Momodu who came to felicitate with Chief Okoya, while speaking with journalists reminisced on how he supported him financially during his presidential campaign days,

 

He expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to be part of the celebrations. He was particularly pleased with the way he chose an unprecedented approach to making life better for the people through his philanthropic gesture more especially, the Okoya @ 80 medical outreach, designed to revitalize the lives of the people.

 

Dr. Jemilade Longe who coordinated the medical outreach on the 8th day gave a brief overview of how it was carried out, while The First Lady of Lagos State -Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu moderated the cutting of the cake.

 

Shola Sax was also on standby to give good melody to the invited guests as Tee A moderated the event.

 

Collaborating Implementers were: The Lagos State Ministry of Health, Primary Healthcare- District 3, Lagos State AIDS Control Agency ( LSACA), Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), Granville Medical Group, MECURE Healthcare Limited, Haven Total and Health Connect 24X 7 among others.

 

The birthday boy who shared his birth date with his daughter -Rashida Olamide Okoya later had a group photograph with his family members, friends and invited guests.

 

Roll call of people who attended the ceremony were: Wife of The Deputy Governor of Lagos State-Chief Mrs Oluremi Hamzat, The White Cap Chiefs Representing The Oba of Lagos (Oba Rilwan Osuolale Akinolu), The Alara of Ilara Epe -HRM Oba (Dr) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo with his beautiful wife -Olori Omobolanle Ogunsanwo, The Odole Oodua and Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist, Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu (Baba Ijebu) with his beautiful wife, The Iyalode of Lagos Hajia Chief (Mrs) Bintu -Fatimah Tinubu, Daddy and Mummy Oyin Jolayemi, Dr. and Alhaja Tajudeen Okoya, Honourable Jumoke Okoya Thomas and Chairman of Channels Television- John Momoh with his beautiful wife, Shola.

 

Other personalities included: The Matriarch of The Luxury Textile Industry in Africa who is also a formidable Matriarch of The Nigerian Social Establishment- Chief Mrs Modupeore Sagoe, The Chief of Staff to The Director General, Nigerian Bureau of Public Procurement- Chief Lanre Obasa, Senator (Dr) Lanre Tejuosho, The Great Lagos Fabric Merchant-Mrs Labake Adeola, Businesswoman and Influential Socialite who was also the Wife of the late Businessman and Owner of Globe Motors- Nkiru Anumudu, Chief Okeowo and his wife, CEO of LSACA-Dr Folake Animashaun, Esther Yeribo and The MD/ CEO of Eve Xtra -Jokotade Adebamiro Adeusi among others.

 

Other members of the Okoya Clan such as his wife Chief Mrs Kuburat Okoya, Wosilat Okoya, Chief Mrs Folashade Okoya’s Children Olamide, Subomi, Oyinlola and Wahab and many others were also involved in the celebration.

 

The celebration which began on Monday the 5th of January came to a climax on Monday, 12th of January 2026 with a birthday bash.

Indeed, The Chief Rasak Akanni Okoya @ 86 Medical Outreach would forever be remembered by many as it was hinged on gratitude and giving back to the community, such that people could have the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life.
