NATIONAL POLICE DAY 2026: LAGOS STATE EVENTS UNVEILED

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the commencement of activities marking the Y2026’National Police Day Celebrations, themed “Community Partnership: Building Trust”.

PRESS BRIEFING BY THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, LAGOS STATE COMMAND, CP TIJANI FATAI

The event which aims at building public trust, honouring fallen heroes, and showcasing the Nigeria Police Force’s operational capacity has the following programmes scheduled for the event:

*Sanitation and environmental cleaning exercise across all Area Commands on March 30
*Medical outreach at Computer Village, Ikeja on March 30
*Walkathon for public engagement on March 31
*Public sensitisation campaigns on electoral violence, cultism, and security concerns on April 1
*Stakeholder engagement and presentation of cheques to families of deceased officers on April 2 and
*The Grand finale: Ceremonial parade and tactical display in Abuja on April 7

Therefore, members of the public are invited to participate in the events to enhance trust and promote peace in Lagos State.
