The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the schedule for the physical screening and documentation exercise for successful candidates shortlisted for recruitment into the Service.
According to a statement signed by the, National Public Relations Officer of Customs and Deputy Comptroller of Customs- Dr. Abdullahi Maiwada on the 1st of September, the exercise will be held at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The NCS has directed all shortlisted candidates to appear for the exercise with the original and photocopies of their required documents, including their National Identification Number (NIN), original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, as well as educational certificates such as O’Level, ND, HND, Degree and other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are expected to present their Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed Guarantor’s Form and NYSC Certificate, where applicable.
The NCS further directed that candidates must wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes during the screening exercise.
It further stated that they report only on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres, while warning that attendance at the physical screening and documentation exercise is compulsory.
The Service further cautioned that failure to appear as scheduled could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
The statement further stated that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation will receive further instructions from the NCS regarding subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
The Customs Service, under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi and his management team have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair and merit-based recruitment process.
The NCS also urged candidates and members of the public to rely solely on the Service’s official communication channels for authentic information concerning the recruitment exercise.
