Africa Real Estate Summit In Lagos

Real Estate Enthusiasts and Investors came together on the 27th of June, 2027 to discuss how best they can leverage to move the industry to a greater heights.
The Africa Real Estate Summit, Awards & Expo 2026 which was held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel had as its theme: “Innovative, Invest, Inspire : The Future of African Real Estate”, whereby developers, investors, and policymakers with one voice discussed  how to accelerate cross-border deal flow as well as the future of the Nigerian and broader African property sector.
One of the keynote speakers -The Vice President of Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, Dr Kunle Adeyemi in his presentation gave great insights on how to move the industry beyond Africa.
Dr. Adeyemi while emphasizing that the future of African real estate relies on institutional reforms, purposeful branding and building trust to sustain long-term investments, challenged stakeholders to work out something that will make the industry formidable.
Other speakers such as The Commissioner for Housing in Lagos State-Honourable Moruf Akinderu-Fatai who made a presentation at the summit, spoke about infrastructure as a catalyst for growth.
According to him: “cities grow when infrastructure leads”, while he urged developers to invest in sustainable urban development.
Akinderu-Fatai’s speech was hinged on growth driven by infrastructure. He laid emphasis on strategic public infrastructure.
According to him, road networks and transportation remain the primary catalyst for unlocking real estate value as well as boosting economic growth,  across the state.
He also harped on the need for continuous public-private collaboration in order to provide decent, affordable housing solutions for Lagosians.
He further advised stakeholders to embrace standardized real estate practices to curb fraudulent practices in order to protect investors for market accountability.
In the same vein, other speakers highlighted that tech is no longer just a support tool but a core driver of visibility, trust, and smarter decision-making.
The panel discussion session focused on implementing digital systems, AI, and talent management to scale real estate businesses effectively.

They also delved into essential real estate laws and regulations especially those that are related to Lagos State among others.

Experts and industry players were able to establish the different types of real estate vis-a-vis commercial, industry, residential and agricultural properties.
