It was the wedding of the year for the Gbazueagu and Odita’s families as their children Uche and Onuora were joined together as husband and wife in a Holy Matrimonial Ceremony.
The sacred union which was sealed in faith and love took place at The Catholic Church of Assumption, Ikoyi-Lagos on Saturday, the 27th of June, 2026.
The love birds were able to exchange their vows before God and man, where they promised to keep the fire of their love glowing like stars forever.
After sighing the dotted lines, all invited guests, family members, friends, colleagues and associates made their way to the prestigious Convention Center of Eko Hotel and Suites for the wedding reception.
They were served with different kinds of food delicacies-African, Intercontinental, Hot and Cold Buffet, Soup, Desserts and After Party Menu.
The grand entrance of the newly weds took the ceremony to a different dimension, as the compere-Nigerian Comedian and Actor, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome (Ali Baba) was on grand to put life into the ceremony.
Then came the auspicious moment when the bride and groom shared their first dance. Also, there was room for interactive games and other activities.
The wedding which attracted the crème -de-la crème of the society had some notable personalities in attendance.
Some of the guests were: Mr Bamanga Tukur-Son of The Former PDP Chairman and Founder of Ashgrove Group which comprised of four operating companies, namely: Ashgrove Energy Limited , Ashgrove Exploration & Production Limited, Ashgrove Petroleum Limited which operate within the Oil & Gas Value Chain and Ashgrove Investments Limited which invests across a diverse range of sectors. He is an entrepreneur and award-winning Business Leader with almost Three decades of experience in the Oil & Gas, Maritime, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Technology Sectors, Lady Ada Chukwudozie MNSE-an entrepreneur and the chairman of the Manufacturer’s Association of Nigeria-SouthEast Region, Executive Director of Dozzy Oil and Gas Limited and the Founder of Association of Professional Women on Rural Development cum Chairman of the Board of Keystone Bank Limited.
Others included: Catherine Uju Ifejika- A Nigerian lawyer and Chairperson/CEO of Brittania-U Nigeria Limited (BUNL); an indigenous petroleum company for upstream exploration and production, and Brittania-U Ghana Limited (BUGL). She is believed to be one of the six most powerful women in oil and gas in the world and one of the richest women in Africa, Dr. (Mrs.) Nwadiuto Iheakanwa – MD/ Editor-in-Chief of Champions Newspaper, an astute administrator with broad cross- sector leadership and entrepreneurial experience that cuts across the PR, print media industry and Real Estate. She has a background in Business Technology, Strategic Business Management and People Management, Lady Lotanna Uzoka- Group Managing Director Kennedia Group ACIPIM, MCIPM, FIMC, CMC and the wife of Ogun State Governor -Her Excellency Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, who is a businesswoman, philanthropist, and founder of the Ajose Foundation and has served as the First Lady of the state since 2019.
The Nigerian Power Couple- MD/CEO NorthWest Petroleum and Gas Limited, Dame (Dr.) Winnie Akpani and The MD/CEO of Providus Bank-Sir Walter Akpani hosted the event.
