The development was recently announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) via Instagram.

The concert will take place at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, Morocco, on December 20, just hours before the tournament begins on December 21.

Davido will share the stage with an international lineup including Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, Comorian singer Says’Z, and Moroccan artistes Douaa Lahyaoui and Lartiste.

AFCON 2025 will feature Africa’s top national teams competing for continental glory.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles, drawn in Group C, will begin their campaign against Tanzania on December 23, with further matches against Tunisia and Uganda.

Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 after releasing ‘Dami Duro,’ the second single from his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

He has established a name for himself as one of Africa’s leading artistes as well as one of the Afrobeats ‘Big Three’.

Since his debut album, he has delivered other projects, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time‘ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023).

The singer released ‘5ive’, his fourth studio album, in April.

Davido is also the founder of DMW, a record label established in April 2016. The music label has served as home to a plethora of music talent.
