In line with the pledge the newly sworn-in local government chairmen made to serve the people at the grassroots, The Chairman of Conference 57, who is also the Chairman of Ibeju -Lekki Government-Honourable Abdullahi Sesan Olowa has made a tour to some parts of the Local Government owing to the torrential rainfall that affected some parts of the locality.
Olowa visited the communities of Abule Pan, Shapati, Igbojia and Desa on a first hand assessment.
Accompanied by members of the Flood Mitigation Committee, Hon. Olowa inspected the canal waterways interconnecting the communities and observed that, human activities have breached the flow of water thereby, causing the incessant flooding.
While discussing with members of the committee in the presence of some Community Leaders, Hon. Olowa gave the assurance that the Local Government will work on the canals to ensure they are cleared for free passage of waterflow.
Recall that, the Executive Chairman few weeks ago, set up the flood mitigation committee with a view to looking into the root causes of flooding and profer solutions as well.
