The drums rolled for MOSES ADESUMBO OLAYEMI, DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT at The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board on the 14th of June, 2026 when she retired meritoriously from The Lagos State Public Service.
The Chapel Christ The Light was filled to capacity as family members, friends, colleagues, associates and well wishers gathered to felicitate with this beautiful soul, at The Thanksgiving Service.
The Presiding Chaplain Reverend (Dr.) Dele Ajayi and The Chaplain-Reverend (Dr.) Olurotimi Taiwo, alongside other notable men of God were on ground to minister the Word of God to the congregation.
The Bible Reading which was taken from Psalm 100, was an example of what it means to give grateful praise to The Lord. It read: “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye Lands”.
The Psalm which is a jubilant song of thanksgiving that invites everyone on earth to joyfully praise God, emphasizes that we belong to God. While it encourages serving Him with gladness, The Bible Chapter celebrates God’s unending goodness and faithfulness.
Little wonder-the celebrator along with people that came to rejoice with him were enjoined to: “Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs”.
The latest jubilant retiree in town, later came to the pulpit with dance and thanksgiving songs, to express her gratitude to God for bringing her this far.
High point of the event was the cutting of the ceremonial cake and the taking of a group photograph with people who came to rejoice with her.
Recall that MOSES ADESUMBO OLAYEMI, DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT at The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board was born on the 14TH OF JUNE 1966.
She joined the Lagos State Public Service on the 29th of December, 1992 as a Secretarial Assistant G. L 06.
She later rose through the ranks to become Director of Procurement GL 17, after she did her conversion in the year 2017 to Procurement Cader.
