The Lagos State Police Command says popular TikToker and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, is safe and unharmed following a viral video that suggested he was abducted during a live broadcast.

The alarm was raised when Peller, who has built large followers on TikTok for his engaging live sessions and street content, appeared to be intercepted by unidentified men while streaming his journey home.

In the clip, which quickly spread on social media, he was heard expressing confusion and fear, initially mistaking the men for security operatives before being led away.

As the video circulated, many of his fans and fellow content creators voiced concern, calling on the police to act swiftly.

Confirming the developments, Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said officers tracked the matter immediately after the incident was reported.

Hundeyin said, that Peller was later found safe at his residence, with his car, phones, and personal belongings untouched.

Hundeyin added that investigations are ongoing to establish what exactly happened and whether the alleged kidnap was genuine, staged, or a false alarm.

Police sources said the Command is also reviewing digital evidence, including the viral live stream and eyewitness accounts, to determine if arrests are necessary.

Peller, who has emerged as one of TikTok’s most prominent Nigerian creators, is known for live broadcasts that often attract thousands of viewers at once.

The scare has sparked conversations online about the risks faced by social media influencers who routinely share their movements in real time.

The police have urged the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified claims until the investigation is concluded.
