- A former governor of Oyo State and Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja, will be officially crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on September 26, 2025.This is sequel to Governor Seyi Makinde’s earlier approval of Ladoja’s nomination, paving the way for the coronation ceremony scheduled to be held at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
A state delegation reportedly met with Oba Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his residence in Bodija on Wednesday to finalize preparations.
Chief Adeola Oloko, Olubadan-designate’s media aide said, “Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, 26 September 2025.”
- Ladoja had earlier met with the kingmakers on Tuesday which marked his first official engagement with the council since the passing of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.Ladoja’s coronation is expected to draw dignitaries from across the country.
