The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated eighty of the newly promoted officers, serving within the Command, with their new ranks.
In a statement by the command’s spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi, The officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).
In his address, CP Jimoh congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, describing the elevation as a reward for their dedication, hard work, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
He emphasised the need for discipline, respect for human rights, and community-oriented policing.
Jimoh charged the newly promoted officers to see their promotion as a call to greater responsibility and renewed commitment, stressing that the reward for hard work is more work.
Jimoh also expressed profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission, for their unwavering commitment to motivating officers through timely promotions.
He noted that such gestures serve as morale boosters and ultimately enhance the quality of Police service delivery.
