The Special Adviser to The Lagos State Governor On Tourism, Arts & Culture -Honourable Idris Aregbe has reaffirmed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to making The State a “Second Home To All”.

Honourable Aregbe made this revelation today, when he received in his office The Vice-Chairman of The Guangxi People’s Congress-Zhang Xiaoqin, The Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in Lagos- Yan Yuqing, alongside Guangxi Chinese Delegation which included – Song Haijun, Lu Bo, Bin Zhengying, who came on a courtesy visit.

The Special Adviser engaged them on a meaningful discussion about the culture heritage of the State. He highlighted The Lagos Cultural Mission, while acknowledging the remarkable contributions of the Chinese Community in Lagos.

He also reiterated the commitment of the present administration to making the state the second home of Chinese citizens, starting from the 72-hour Lagos Cultural Weekend to the broader cultural calendar.

The Special Adviser who was pleased with the keen interest of the delegates towards the cultural heritage of the state, added that this synergy would open a window of new opportunities for the expansion of cultural values and the deepening of cooperation in areas such as; cultural and natural heritage protection, research, tourism initiatives, and travel policies which are geared towards the creation of more jobs and employment opportunities.

On the Greater Lagos Mantra, The Special Adviser along with the Directors in The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, further engaged them in meaningful discussions on how to strengthen the bond between Lagos and The Peoples Republic of China.

He concluded by saying, “This cultural mission will reinforce our shared vision, for Nigeria to win, for China to win, and for our peoples to win together”, he said.
