The insurance and financial world has changed dramatically over the years. This is more so as technology keeps involving, where experts who are licensed financial professionals provide advice on how to manage people’s financial assets in order for them not to become debt ridden.

Coverage: The scope of protection the insurer provides, which can be for the policyholder (first-party) or for damages to others (third-party).
Indemnity: The payment from the insurer to the policyholder to compensate for losses. Deductible: The portion of a loss that the policyholder is responsible for paying. 

Exclusions: Specific risks or events that are not covered by the policy. 
Claim: The process by which the policyholder requests payment from the insurer for a covered loss.

The global licensed professional further explained that insurance policies come in different categories vis-a-vis:

Life insurance:

Provides a death benefit to beneficiaries when the insured person passes away. 

Health insurance:

Covers medical expenses, from routine care to more significant health issues. 

Auto insurance:

Covers damages to your vehicle and liability for damages to others in case of an accident. 

Home insurance:
Protects your property and belongings from damage or theft.
