Rite Foods Limited has marked this year’s International Day of Families with a call for stronger support systems for children and households, with emphasis on the need to address inequality and improve overall family wellbeing across communities.

This is in line with the 2026 theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” which draws attention to the daily challenges faced by families and the importance of inclusive development.

Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Managing Director Seleem Adegunwa said family support remains central to national growth and long-term stability.

He noted that inequality in access to nutrition, education, healthcare, and opportunity continues to affect children disproportionately.

According to Adegunwa, “every child deserves the chance to thrive regardless of background.

Families are at the heart of every society. When access to nutrition, education, healthcare, and opportunity becomes unequal, children are often the most affected. At Rite Foods, we believe every child deserves the chance to grow, thrive, and dream bigger, regardless of background”, he revealed.

Adegunwa added that the company remains focused on producing quality products tailored to the needs of Nigerian families while maintaining strong connections with everyday realities in communities.

Similarly, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, who emphasized the importance of collective efforts in tackling inequality and enhancement of children’s welfare noted that;  businesses, communities, and policymakers must work together to create environments where families feel supported and empowered.

“Real progress happens when businesses, communities, and policymakers work together. At Rite Foods, we understand that supporting families goes beyond the products we make. It is about contributing to an environment where people feel supported, included, and empowered to succeed,” he said.

Rite Foods stated that beyond manufacturing food and beverage products, its broader vision is centred on people-focused initiatives, responsible business practices, and sustained community support aimed at strengthening families and building a brighter future for children.

The company’s product portfolio includes Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Fearless Energy Drinks, Sosa Fruit Drink, Bigi Premium Table Water, Rite Spicy, Bigi Beef, and Bigi Flex Sausages.
