The Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, Roosevelt Ogbonna, has hailed the Ogun State Government for fostering an enabling environment that continues to attract investors.
Ogbonna made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun, where he led a delegation of top bank executives recently.
According to him, Ogun’s policies not only drive investment inflows but also encourage meaningful partnerships aimed at long-term growth and shared prosperity.
He also commended the ongoing Gateway International Airport project, describing it as a bold and strategic initiative that reflects visionary leadership.
“I am extremely proud. Ogun State is making it a habit of showing Nigerians what a working democracy looks like”, Ogbonna said, noting that the translation of ideas into visible infrastructure demonstrates a strong commitment to excellence.
The Access Bank CEO expressed satisfaction with the bank’s involvement in the airport project, reaffirming its commitment to funding initiatives that stimulate economic development.
In his response, Governor Abiodun described Access Bank as a dependable partner, applauding its early support for the state’s vision.
“They saw the vision from the outset and backed it. A vision without funding is merely a hallucination,” the governor said.
He added that the partnership underscores the critical role of public-private collaboration in delivering impactful infrastructure and sustaining economic growth.
