The Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, Alagbon Lagos, CP Bode Ojajuni, has been elected as member of the INTERPOL Africa Committee.
Ojajuni emerged victorious in the keenly contested election for membership during the 27th African Regional Conference in Cape Town, South Africa.
The election got the Nigeria Police Force the fifth seat on the Committee with a tenure of two years.
INTERPOL Africa Committee is vested with the responsibility of advising the African Regional Conference in the execution of its mandate, facilitating its sessions, and identifying strategic crime priorities.
It also strengthens police cooperation across borders, advances best practices, and develops projects aimed at enhancing regional and continental security.
