It was a week-long celebration for billionaire business mogul, philanthropist, and founder of Premier Lotto, Sir Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, who marked his 90th birthday in grand style, organizing various events to commemorate the occasion.
The celebration commenced with a symposium on 17 October 2025, themed “Odale Oodua: Symbol of Wealth Creation and Catalyst for Development”, held at the Alaperu Palace, Iperu-Remo, where he donated N4 billion to Iperu-Remo, Sagamu, Ikenne, and Remo North local government areas.
The businessman further commissioned the Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu Research Centre on 20 October, with a novelty football match played in his honour on 22 October.
In the spirit of the celebrations, the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers conferred an Honorary Fellowship on him on 23 October, in appreciation of his contributions to the institution.
The grand finale was the thanksgiving service and birthday bash held in his honour on 24 October at The Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island-Lagos.
It was an unforgettable experience for the Adebutus as The President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu conferred on him the highest honour in the country-Grand Commander of the Niger (GCON).
Mr President who was represented by his Chief of Staff -Femi Gbajabiamila at the Thanksgiving Service coordinated by the Methodist Church Of Nigeria lauded the great philanthropist, for his immense contributions to the growth of the nation.
While delivering the speech of Mr President, the Chief of Staff said: “The President finds your words of wisdom, counsel, and support invaluable. In life, some people live long but not well, while others live well but not long. Rarely do we find those who live both long and well — and that is the story of your life, that is why he celebrates you, and Nigeria celebrates you today”.
The birthday ball took a different dimension at the Eko Convention Center with the high and mighty in the society in attendance.
Different dishes both African and Intercontinental were served with different groups taking the center stage to thrill the guests.
