The Chairman (Mayoress ) of Ikosi/ Isheri, who is also known as The Queen Mother,

Yeyesewa of Ilara Kingdom and Yeyeoge of Ijanikin Land- Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada has sent her Isese Day Congratulatory message to the custodians of African Tradition to celebrate the day., and it reads:
“As we mark this year’s Isese Day, I extend my warmest greetings to all our revered traditional rulers, custodians of our heritage, and every son and daughter of Yoruba land.
Our culture is the soul of our identity, and preserving it is a duty we owe the generations coming after us. The values, wisdom, and discipline embedded in Yoruba tradition remain a strong pillar that has shaped our society and continues to guide us in building a more united and prosperous Lagos.
As a leader, I believe culture and governance must walk hand in hand. A person who neglects its heritage risks losing its compass, but when culture is celebrated, it becomes easier to inspire pride, unity, and progress among our people.
On this special day, I join millions of Yoruba sons and daughters in appreciating the richness of our tradition. May we continue to uphold it, promote it, and pass it on with pride to the next generation .
